About Wooden Tricks
Wooden Tricks, is an art business, created by Richard Adams. It is comprised of wood objects carved on the lathe. Utilitarian items are his main line of work. Functional bowls, peppermills, trivets, scoops, hollow forms, lidded boxes, needle cases (pill containers), and writing pens; to name a few.
Principally self-taught, Richard, did have the privilege of hands on training, under woodturning masters like, David Ellsworth, and others through books and videos.
The artist enjoys exploring shapes and is influenced by pottery forms. Natural flowing curves and shapes are something that he continues to explore and expand on. Spalted (wood coloration caused by the natural breakdown of the wood), and highly figured woods, are used when ever possible because of their beauty.Type your paragraph here.
